Head of Hatshepsut

This granite head of a king was excavated by the museum in the ruins of a Ramesside temple built near the cultivation east of the royal temples at Deir el-Bahri. The king portrayed is probably Hatshepsut. The head is similar in size and style to the standing statue of Hatshepsut (28.3.18) in gallery 115.
