This corner piece is the only fragment whose original position in Khety’s tomb (within the entrance passage) can be determined. The text on one side makes reference to “officials bowing” (to Khety) and “what the western desert has,” which probably alludes to Khety’s responsibility to supply semi-precious stones to the court. Visible on the other face is a bowman with a baboon or a dog walking beside him, perhaps part of a procession of hunters (see 26.3.354-3-related).
