Carlo Antonio Testore was born in Milan. He was the son of the violin maker Carlo Giuseppe Testore, who studied with Giovanni Grancino. The donor of this instrument was Charles W. Jones, a composer, violinist, and teacher, who was an associate of Darius Milhaud. Description: Spruce top of medium to fine grain, two-piece back with figure descending to left, pegbox grafted to modern neck.
