Ryūteki — Unknown

The rkyūteki, the longer of the two shown here, is used in gagaku (court music) to play the melody line with the double reeded hichiriki. Displayed here with their lacquered cases, are used in ensembles and are seldom played as a solo instrument like the end blown shakuhachi.
