4th–7th century · Earthenware · Medieval Art

Bowls such as these were common throughout Egypt. These two bowls were found outside of the el-Dier fortress. While the forms are typical of pottery production throughout Egypt, the bowls are made of local clay indicating production at a local ceramic workshop.
