Cross Fragment with Saint John the Theologian

A depiction of Saint John the Theologian decorates the face of the surviving upper arm of a large cross. An elegant, small cross is inscribed in a medallion on the reverse. Such crosses would have been carried in processions or installed on an altar, possibly one dedicated to the saint.
