The schematized floral pattern in the letter of this Bolognese leaf closely resembles the motifs in the cutting by Nerius shown nearby. The chant "Sound the Trumpet in Zion" was inspired by the writings of the prophet Joel and is sung on the fourth Sunday of Advent, immediately before Christmas.
