冨嶽三十六景 尾州不二見原|Fujimigahara in Owari Province (Bishū Fujimigahara), from the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (Fugaku sanjūrokkei) — Katsushika Hokusai

By framing Fuji and the cooper in the interior of the large barrel, Hokusai effects an intimate dialogue between the iconic mountain and the sinewy man. The juxtaposition of Fuji and the cooper lends a religious overtone to the man's honest labor and existence.
