Pharmacy Jar — Unknown

The ivy-leaf pattern is derived from Valencian lusterware, which was imported into Tuscany in large quantities during the 1400s. Italian potters, who at the time had not yet learned how to produce the sheen of lusterware, simulated the effect with paint.
