Candlestick — Unknown

These candlesticks combine elements from two different types: the stem, formed by four clustered pillars, is typical of square “Huguenot” candlesticks from France, the Low Countries, and England from the second half of the seventeenth century. The circular base and dripping pan have been derived from a somewhat earlier type of candlestick, but they appear of a relatively late date (nineteenth century).
