Mashrabiyya Screen — Unknown

This frame once was part of a mashrabiyya, or wooden window screen, with its small openings through which the onlooker could see passersby without being seen or conduct a conversation with someone outside. In a mashrabiyya screen the small openings can take horseshoe or curved arch shape.
