"Sgraffito-ware" Bowl — Unknown

Metalwork provided the inspiration for the shapes and designs of this ware, which is especially characteristic of Mamluk-period potteries in Egypt but found in excavations throughout the Mamluk realm. Mass produced for the general public as well as for the military, it was popular through the end of the fourteenth century.
