Clog — Unknown

Clogs were commonly used in hammams, or baths, a common institution throughout the Middle East. They were made of wood; this rare example in incised decorated bronze—heavy and awkward to wear—must have had ceremonial or symbolic significance. It is signed by Abu Nasr.
