Vase with Five Discs — Unknown

A fragment of this vase type was discovered during excavations in Qasr‑i Abu Nasr, in southern Iran, and similar pieces were later found at sites in Guyuan, China, and even Japan, demonstrating that objects of this kind were highly prized in the Far East and traded as luxury items.
