Footed Bowl with Lotuses
Unknown
first half 16th century · Earthenware; tin-enameled · Islamic Art

The stylized flowers in the center ultimately derive from Chinese prototypes; however, the rendering of the blossoms, probably those of a lotus, and their arrangement, differ from those found in Yuan and Ming porcelains, as does the stylized decoration on the rim.
