Faceted Bottle

This unusually tall, graceful bottle is a fine example of cold-cut glass. The makers used the lapidary technique of wheel-cutting to create facets on the surface. As this technique was common in the medieval period throughout the Islamic world, from Egypt to Iran, it is virtually impossible to establish a specific origin for objects made in this way.
