Mamluk enameled glass was popular in nineteenth century Europe, and a number of glassmakers made copies or interpretations of the original vessels. The most renowned artists of the period were Philippe-Joseph Brocard (French, d. 1896, the brothers Joset and Ludwig Lobmeyr (Austrian, d. 1864 and 1917), and the glassworkers of the Salviati factory at Murano, Venice.
