Fragment with an Eight-Pointed Star Containing a Warrior — Unknown

The warrior at the center of the eight-pointed star holds a shield in one hand and raises a double-headed axe behind his head with the other. Like the interlace, the gesture of upraised hands was believed to deflect a harmful gaze. The central image is framed by eight vases connected by intertwined vines springing from the vessels. A cable pattern forms the outline of the star; each link is filled with a delicate rosette.
