Falcon Amulet

This falcon is seated on a small rectangular base. Its beak and eyes are nicely modeled. The chest and legs are undecorated, while the short feathers on the back of its head and on the folded wings are indicated by a scallop-pattern. The long feathers at the end of the wings are shown by several long incised vertical lines. At the top of the bird’s head is a slightly uneven and unglazed area. This is the area where a headdress must have broken off. A small loop for suspension was likely attached to this headdress.
