Falcon Amulet

This stocky falcon with a short neck is standing on a small rectangular base. The top of its head is flattened and features a hole, which was presumably used to attach a headdress, missing today. The area between the bird’s feet and tail was carved away, which is difficult to achieve in such a small stone amulet. A short horizontal groove on the bird’s back derives from the piercing of a loop, which is broken off and missing.
