On November 27, 1960, the image of Klein’s leap appeared on the front page of Dimanche—Le journal d’un seul jour, a four-page faux newspaper he produced for the Festival d’Art d’Avant-garde then taking place in Paris. The newspaper was sold at newsstands around the city and often appeared side by side with the real French newspaper Le journal du dimanche.
