Teakettle on stand — James T. Woolley

Having worked for many years for the Boston silversmiths Goodnow and Jenks, Woolley established his own workshop in 1908. An early member and award-winning medalist of Boston’s Society of Arts and Crafts, he also belonged to the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts and exhibited in New York City. Much of Woolley’s work reflects the Colonial Revival style, as exemplified in this fluted, spherical teakettle on stand.
