Terracotta skyphos (deep drinking cup)
Unknown
ca. 460–450 BCE · Terracotta · Greek and Roman Art

Skyphoi with disparate handles are rarer than those with two horizontal handles, yet they admirably represent Greek ingenuity. The vertical handle would have facilitated drinking, while the other allowed the cup to be suspended when not in use, between symposia.
