Unknown
mid-5th century BCE · Terracotta · Greek and Roman Art

Obverse and reverse, owl between olive sprigs This work represents a type of skyphos in which one handle is vertical and the other horizontal. Because an owl is frequently the decoration, the shape is known as a glaux, the Greek word for owl.
