Terracotta figure of a seated woman — Unknown

The clay and style of this magnificent figure connect it with ancient Medma, located on the toe of the Italian boot, just north of Reggio di Calabria. Of particular note, and unexplained meaning, is the winged figure in low relief on her torso.
