Said to be from Smyrna The hero lists back, clearly inebriated, his stomach bloated and the muscles of his legs taut as he tries to maintain balance. On analogy with other statuettes of this type, he may have held his club in his left hand and a kantharos (two-handled drinking cup) in his right.
