Terracotta jar
Unknown
2nd–3rd century CE · Terracotta · Greek and Roman Art

The molded figures on the body of this container can be identified as Dionysus standing and Silenus riding on a donkey. The jar is a rare, but not unheard of, example of eastern pottery imported into Italy.
