Head of Silenos
Unknown
2nd century BCE · Terracotta · Greek and Roman Art

The head is mold-made and hollow. The top and back of the head, the nape, and the left ear are missing; the surface is scratched. The facial type is generally similar to that of inv. no. 74.51.1496, but the head is not from the same mold and is more summarily rendered.
