Hobnail Celery vase — Hobbs, Brockunier and Company

In 1886, Hobbs, Brockunier and Company patented an improved method of pressing opalescent glass. With subsequent cooling and reheating, the projecting nodules of the “Dewdrop” pattern would become slightly opaque, while the body remained translucent.
