Double beaker — Peter Wiber

The barrel-shaped beaker was in use since sixteenth century, at a time when precious silver vessels of various shapes imitating everyday objects of utilitarian nature were very fashionable–especially in German-speaking cultural centers. They detach in the middle to be used as separate vessels.
