Noli Me Tangere — Unknown

The textile depicts Christ immediately after the Resurrection at the moment when he is recognized by Mary Magdalene. This repeating design may have been used as a decorative border or apparel for a dalmatic. One half of a dalmatic made entirely of this fabric is in the collection of the Musée des Tissus in Lyon, France.
