This figure, modeled with a hollow interior, was equipped with a clapper that allowed it to serve as a table bell. The dress suggests that it represents a chambermaid, though the fashionable hairstyle and pearl necklace are slightly at odds with this interpretation. Producing a bell in this form, which may have been used to summon a chambermaid, reflects the playful spirit that appears throughout the manufactory’s work.
